Local entrepreneur, Elijah Sefoto of Kgapane Township ‘s creative shoe washing business is booming.

The 42 year-old who dropped out of high school started a unique shoe washing business in January last year as a means of survival. He washes sneakers for people from as little as R40 depending on the type and name of the sneakers. He charges R10 more for expensive snickers such as Carvella. His unique business has grown so much that he is now servicing customers from as far as Mokwakwaila and Sekgopo villages.

“My business is so special because there is no one who is doing it around here. Even if they can try they will not be able to get the same results because I am using secrets ingredients to wash the sneakers” he said.

Elijah appealed to the local municipality to help him get a bigger place to grow his business.
