The South African Football Association (SAFA) Holywood bets Regional league new season is about to start however teams have not yet received direction concerning the new sponsorship.
SAFA Mopani Regional president Vincent Ramphao says his region has not yet received anything from the new sponsorship or SAFA national office. “We have not yet received any briefing or any item from the SAFA national office regarding the new sponsorship as yet” he said.
However he did not deny the fact that only 18 clubs will receive the new sponsored kits. “It’s true that only 18 teams will receive the new kits but it’s not clear at this moment as to how they will be distributed. The Regional Executive Committee will discuss it but I think the new kits will be given to the teams that make up a list of 18 teams that we submit to the SAFA national office at the end of the season, in line with the Champ of Champs format” he added. Ramphao said they will inform all the clubs as soon as they have all the necessary information. “All the regions will be informed about the developments in writing” he concluded.
