Fresh from a much needed home victory last weekend against Platinum City Rovers FC, Venda Football Club coach Joel Masutha says his charges have gathered enough confidence to get positive results in today’s Motsepe Foundation Championship league encounter.

The Venda based side face nineth placed MM Platinum at home in Venda Thohoyandou stadium in their fifth league game of the season. They are currently occupying position eight on the league log with five points from four games. “It’s good to get a much needed victory as it boosts the confidence of the players” said Masutha.

The star studded Venda side did not have a good start to the season. They drew their opening home game against JDR Stars 0-0, lost 2-1 to Upington away and drew 1-1 with Pretoria Callies at home.

However, according to soccer pundits they are favorites to come up with a victory in this encounter. The last time the two teams met in February this year in the second round match of the 2022/23 season, Venda cruised passed MM Platinum with a convincing 3-0 home victory in Venda.
