The South African Football Association (SAFA) in Mopani Region has released the long anticipated Nedbank Cup preliminary round fixture for the Holywood bets league clubs.
The knockout competition will start this weekend with teams grouped according to their respective streams. Each of the fifteen groups will accommodate only four teams and the games will take place in a neutral venues.
The Zebra streams A and B with six groups, three in each of the two streams, have the most number of clubs compared to all the other three.
They are followed by the two tropical streams who are having five groups, three in stream A and two in stream B. The Baobab and Marula streams are the least of them all with three and one groups respectively.
The games will start at 09h00 in the morning and the final game between winners of the first and second games will commence at 15h00. Group winners will automatically advance to the next stage of the preliminary round.
Last season’s Baobab stream leaders Jozy United will have to win against the legendary Matsena Giant Killers away at Matsena grounds to keep their dream of advancing to the last 32 alive.
Inter-Regional playoffs runners up Dzekula Sky Masters have a mammoth task of having to beat a very strong Shivulani Tigers at home in Dzekula grounds at 09h00.
The newly established Mphehli Real Rovers of Kgapane Township will open their new season account with a tough assignment against youthful Satlaleng All Stars at Kgapane Stadium. All the mentioned games start at 09h00 in the morning.
