Tzaneen United owner Dinus Mafologela has confirmed the appointment of ex Nkowankowa Continental coach Peace Khosa as their new head coach.
The gifted tactician who masterminded Continental’s promotion to the ABC Motsepe league recently handed over his resignation to the Nkowankowa based club with only a week left before the start of the Nedbank cup and the league.
He replaced former Orlando Pirates player Lebogang Mothibantwa who left the club after being appointed as head coach less than a month ago. Mafologela said his team has always been trying to lure the gifted tactician to their side since last season but their efforts flunked due to his commitment to Continental.
“We have always wanted to work with coach Peace even before he promoted Continental however, we couldn’t poach him since they were obviously headed for promotion at that time,” he said.
Coach Peace is highly gifted and we have confidence in his coaching ability. We have given him the whole season to work with the team and we will not interfere with his work regardless of the results” he added.
According to Mafologela it was Peace’s coaching acumen and genius that won promotion for Continental and not the players. Peace will be assisted by former Maruleng Celtics coach David Moagi and ex Continental goalkeeper coach Bongani “Chawe” Khubayi.
