Limpopo Baseball Under/14 League ambles into action on Saturday to wrap up the domestic campaign, seeking to settle the argument about the identity of the top club in the province. Pitch-off at Seshego diamonds is at 09h00.
The center of attraction will focus on log leaders Botlokwa Trailblazers who collide against Greenside Eagles in an eagerly-anticipated clash that promises both bravado and bravura in equal measure.
Eagles will embark on a short journey to the fortress ballpark oozing confidence, sending shivers down the spines of their opponents.
As pretenders to the throne, Trailblazers have been nightmarish in their campaign and this weekend, they will bring all their arsenals to ensure that the equilibrium swings in their favour.
A strong presence of ten teams, mainly from Capricorn district will be part of this breathtaking event.

With two notable young icons boasting international acclaim, the encounter between Eagles and Trailblazers has all the hallmarks of a swashbuckling sporting extravaganza.
Eagles’ first baseman, Matsobane Maeta and Trailblazers outfielder, Khomotso Mokgawa are the precocious youngsters who send out such a positive message about the future of baseball that dynamites come in small packages.
Maeta’s moment of glory was his selection in the national team to represent South Africa during the World Baseball Softball Confederation’s Youth Baseball World Championship’s sixth edition from 29 July to 7 August 2022 in Tainan, Taiwan.
Mokgawa, on the other hand, jetted to Mexico to represent his country during the 2022 U/15 World Cup held in Hermosillo, from 26 August to 4 September.
Maeta’s rapid rise to international stardom, particularly his call-up to the national setup is the stuff of sporting legend.
While in softball he is a novelty act at first base, in baseball he leads from the front, throwing perplexing deliveries from the pitcher’s mound.
If not pitching, he commands the outfield as at center, the kind of player any coach would embrace to mentor.
With many lessons learned on the international stages, Mokgawa’s growing maturity in the game has been acknowledged by the legion of devotees who watch him in admiration when the left-hander coordinates the outfield at center.
Maeta and Mokgawa have been lauded by one of the upcoming development coaches in Brian Lechokgohla who reckons the duo has a bright future in both baseball and softball.
