Coachless Winnerspark FC is aiming at acquiring the services of Humphey Mlwane as their new coach for the season.
This after the Modjadjiskloof based side fired their coach over the weekend even after winning a tournament at Senwamokgope township in Sekgosese area. Team boss Robert Mokgola said he is now seaching for the services of experienced coaches and top on the list is former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Humphey Mlwane. The 51 year-old coach who retired from professional football as a player was coach of Eswatini Premier League side Malanti Chiefs last season.
He joined the club with only eight games left before the end of the season but failed to rescue them from the relegation quagmire. Under his mentorship the team won two, drew two and lost four games.
They were relegated to the first division and Mlwane left them to join Mphumalanga ABC Motsepe league side Sivutsa Stars. Another coach on Mokgola’s list was Giyani Happy Boys Mentor Mpho Maleka.
The CAF B license certificate holder worked for Winnerspark for few month but left them early last season. The experienced tactician who successfully led Marumo Gallants to a Nedbank triumph against Chippa United in 2021 almost got the ambitious Giyani Happy Boys side to the Champ of Champs playoffs last season but finished second in their ABC Motsepe league stream A.
Chances of him joining Winnerspark are very slim as he was reported to be having great offers from the local PSL and international clubs. Whether they will be able to successfully lure the services of Mlwane or not remains to be seen.
