Josy United Owner Joseph Machethe shows off the R100 000 prize his team won in the General Skhokho tournament.

Hollywood bets side, Josy United FC are the champions of the annual General Skhokho tournament which took place at Makhakhapatje ground in December. They beat ABC Motsepe league side Giyani Happy Boys 6-5 on penalties in the final after the game ended in a 0-0 stalemate. The talented Jamela based side dazzled top sides in their way to the final including rivals Winnerspark FC whom they whipped 2-1 in an uncommon two days quarterfinal match.
Their game was halted during halftime break due to the lack of lights at the ground and was mandated to continue the day after. Winnerspark was leading 1-0 when the game was halted but Josy pulled a surprise come back of the season the day after and won the game 2-1 in fulltime to advance to the semifinals.
They beat a talented PSG side 5-4 on penalties in the semifinals after the game was deadlocked 0-0 in fulltime. The Hollywood bets Baobab stream last season winners took home a staggering R100 000 first prize, gold medals and a trophy. Their top coach Shakes Manyakalla from Botshabelo in Bloemfontain deservedly won the coach of the tournament award and took home R1000 while one of the outstanding Josy United twins Lenox “Sim 1” Chavalala pocketed home R2000 as player of the tournament.
