Bellevue based side Winnerspark FC lost 3-1 to Munaca FC at home in WestFalia ground in ABC Motsepe league encounter last Saturday.
The new look side who had won their first league game of the season two weeks ago under the guidance of their legend Isaac “Wacko” Senyolo came in to the game confident to get a home victory but it was not meant to be.
Their opponents Munaca came to the game guns blazing looking for nothing less than a victory following their 3-0 humiliation by log leaders Emmanuel FC in their previous game. It was the visitors who drew first blood early in the first half via a penalty kick by Thembisani Nevhulamba.
The home side Winnerspark under the guidance of new coach Shakes Manyakalla tried their best to find the equalizer in the first half but their attacking moves were thwarted by a solid Munaca defence. The game went to recess with a 1-0 score-line in favour of Munaca.
The homeside came back in to the second half motivated and determined to find the equalizer. They confused their opponents with their new intricate passing football which led them to the much needed equalizer via the educated boot of Siyabonga Hlabisa.
However, the visitors restored their lead few minutes later with a brilliant goal from Man of the match Sibongiseni Madikane. Madikane completed his brace towards the dying minutes of the game with a brilliant goal from the far post to make the score 3-1. Winnerspark is on position eight with five points while Munaca is on position seven with seven points. Their next game is against top of the table side Emmanuel in Giyani on Saturday.
