Musa “America” Nkondo, the head coach of Emmanuel FC, has denied rumors that he has been dismissed as coach of the Giyani based side.
The rumors of his departure from the club were spread through social media platforms, who claimed to have received the information from reliable sources within the club.
Musa was criticized for his team’s poor performance since he took over as head coach from Sello Chokwe a month ago. His team has been unable to collect maximum points in three consecutive games.
The last time they collected three points was in the beginning of last month when they beat Madritas 1-0. Since then they drew 0-0 against Giyani Happy Boys, 0-0 against United Artist and 2-2 against Musina United.
Last weekend they redeemed themselves with a convincing 2-0 victory over stubborn Musina United at home in Malamulele. “America” expressed his shock over the rumours of his dismissal and reiterated that he is still the coach of Emmanuel FC.
“I don’t know where the rumour is coming from. We just won a game this weekend and I was in charge. I am also preparing for the next match against the current log leaders Mpheni Defenders in two weeks. As we speak, I am on my way to watch Mpheni versus Vondwe.” he said. ” America” said their aim is to win the league this season.
