ABC Motsepe league side Emmanuel FC will be aiming to avenge their first round defeat of Winnerspark this Saturday at Westfalia sports ground when the two teams meet in a league match.

The Giyani based side who lost 2-1 at home in the first round needs to win the game at all cost to stand a chance of winning their stream. The stream is currently led by last season winners Mpheni Defenders whom they beat  1-0 at home in Malamulele stadium last Saturday.

Mpheni is leading the log with 27 points from 14 games while Emmanuel is second with 24 points and 13 games. The Musa Nkhondo coached side were looking good in their game against Mpheni and will be expected to repeat their sterling performance against Winnerspark this weekend.

However, the Bellevue based side is not a team to be taken for granted. They have proved in their past games to be a team capable of beating anyone in the league especially coming from defeat in previous games.

Their head coach Isaac “Wacko ” Senyolo who played for the Winnerspark team that gained promotion to the NFD in the past will use his experience to steer his side to victory.

Wacko said his side will try their best to win their remaining four games  to end the league in a respectable position. He said they are aware of the tightness of the log standing and will work hard to collect points.

Winnerspark is currently on position five with 18 points from 13 games only two points ahead of three Venda sides Madritas, Munaca and United Artists. The two sides except Artist have played the same number of games as Winnerspark.

Only Artist have played a game more. However, both Emmanuel and Winnerspark have outstanding cases with the league.

Emmanuel await the verdict on their came against the South African Football Association.

SAFA following allegations of assault and pitch invasion during their league game against Maruleng Celtics in Hoedspruit last month while Winnerspark abandoned their game against Munaca in Makhado last weekend due to alleged dubious penalty by the referee of the day. This season there is a possibility that four teams could face the axe should Marumo Gallants and Venda Academy who are currently on the bottom four in the National First Division be relegated.
