Tzaneen United could seal their ABC Motsepe League victory in their derby against arch rivals Nkowankowa Continental this Friday at Nkowankowa Stadium. The two clubs meet in the second round of the league after their first round encounter in the same venue ended in a one all draw.

Tzaneen is currently leading the stream B league table with 38 points from 14 games followed by Ditlou who are 14 points adrift. Should Tzaneen win the Saturday game they will be crowned winners of the stream with an impressive unbeaten record.

They won twelve and drew two with no loss whatsoever. Credit to their top class chairman Dennus Mafologela whose clear vision for the season paid off. Mafologelo put up an experienced team this season and fortified it with the acquisition of former Nkowankowa Continental coach Peace Khosa. Soccer pundits have predicted a well deserved promotion for the club in the playoffs.

Their opponents Nkowankowa Continental who are currently in fifth position need only three points to be completely safe from relegation in their debut season.

They are currently having 18 points from 14 games. Strong on their tail is Ngwaabe City Motors with 17 points from 14 games, Mokopane PJ Stars with 16 points 13 games and Mighty FC with 16 games from 13 points.

There is a strong possibility that SAFA will relegate four teams this season instead of the usual two. That means two teams will be relegated from each of the two streams to accommodate two newly promoted teams and two more teams relegated from the NFD if Venda FC and Marumo Gallants fail to save their status.
