Tzaneen United owner Dennus Mafologela has denied social media allegations that he plans to dismiss his highly gifted coach, Peace Khosa.
The allegations emerged after the ABC Motsepe league Stream B champions brought in Tubatse United coach as Peace’s assistant during their 1-0 loss to Stream A winners Mpheni Defenders in the provincial playoffs at Oscar Mpetha Stadium in the University of Limpopo last Saturday.
Mafologela said social media news should not be taken seriously, as most of it is fake news. He reaffirmed coach Peace’s position as Tzaneen United mentor and also stated that the coach proved without doubt that he could do the job. Mafologela mentioned, “Peace’s mandate was to take us to the playoffs, and he achieved it without a preseason preparations. However, this time around, we will bring two young coaches as his assistants to learn from him.” Peace has been coaching the Maruleng based side without an assistant the whole of last season. He won 14 out of 18 games, drawing three times and losing only one game the entire season.
