Isaac Masia, the legendary defender from Black Leopard, and Ticklus Tutlwa, a midfielder from Sekhukhune United, are no longer part of Venda Football Club. Masia’s contract with the club expired and was not renewed, while Tutlwa, who was on loan from the Premier Soccer League side Sekhukhune, has returned to his original PSL club.
Masia is currently training with his former team, Black Leopard FC, but has not yet signed a new contract. At 29 years old, the experienced defender from Bolobedu is in his prime, and his addition could bring stability to “Lidodaduva’s” defensive lineup.
Masia previously served as the captain of Black Leopard before leaving for PSL side Maritzburg United. However, he departed in the same season due to a lack of game time and subsequently joined Pretoria University in the National First Division before moving to Venda FC under coach Joel “Mopofeta” Masutha. Meanwhile, midfielder Tutlwa is reportedly recovering from a serious injury sustained last season and is currently engaged in personal light training as part of his comeback efforts.
Tutlwa, a former attacking midfielder for Black Leopard, was not getting sufficient playing time at Sekhukhune before being loaned to VFC last season. It remains to be seen whether he will have playing time this season upon his recovery.
