Seven promising young players from the SAFA Mopani Region have been chosen to join the prestigious SAFA High Performance Centre (HPC) and the Talent Development Scheme (TDS) provincial Under-15 squad.

The under-15 players will be participating in the upcoming interprovincial squad event taking place in Gauteng Province next month. The players, born in 2009 and 2010, have been selected for the Under-15 squad, while the younger players born in 2011 have been invited to join the SAFA National Academy program, known as the High-Performance Centre.

Notably, four players have been scouted from the Youth Premier League (YPL) in Giyani, and three from the newly established Frank Moloto Development League (FMDL) in Bolobedu.

The selected players from YPL include Xitalo Makhubele, Tshepo Halata, Voninga Holland, and Matimba Zitha, while those from FMDL are Mahlatse Mashakhane, Titelo Ramoleta, and Tumiso Malatji.

Final trials for the provincial squad are slated for September to determine the representatives for the province, and the HPC players will also undergo final national trials in Johannesburg, albeit the date for this is yet to be announced.
