ABC Motsepe league side, Vondwe X1 Bullets, has announced the departure of their esteemed head coach, Lufuno Zambrotta Ndou.
According to the team’s manager, Rendani Gumula, the decision to part ways with Coach Zambrotta was made in accordance with his expressed desire to pursue a more favorable opportunity with another club.
Despite Coach Zambrotta acknowledging the decision, he however expressed disappointment in the timing of the announcement. He stated that an understanding had been reached to defer the announcement until the following week, and was surprised to learn of its premature release on social media.
During his tenure, Coach Zambrotta notably steered Vondwe X1 Bullets clear of relegation on two occasions, demonstrating his commitment and ability.
In the previous season, the team competed for the championship alongside Mpheni Defenders and Emmanuel FC, although they encountered challenges and fell short towards the end.
Coach Zambrotta pointed out that the team could have achieved more, highlighting the impact of losing key players during the season without adequate replacements.
Currently, the team has designated Assistant Coach Ndamulelo Ratshivhadelo as the interim replacement for Coach Zambrotta, pending the announcement of their final decision next week.
