The preliminary round fixtures for the ABC Motsepe League Nedbank Cup games have just been announced.
Tzaneen United, the reigning champions of stream B from the previous season, will face Munaca FC from stream A at Makhado Sports Ground. Despite suffering only one defeat last season, Tzaneen United fell short of reaching the last 32 of the Nedbank Cup.
To improve their performance, this time around “Lebapola” will need to adapt to the absence of key players and their coach, who departed for other opportunities at the conclusion of the previous season.
Selwane White Vultures, a new entrant in the ABC Motsepe League, will host United Artists at Selwane Sports Ground. Despite having formed a strong technical team, they are scheduled to face a tough match against an improved United Artists side, which impressively rose from the relegation zone to finish in the top four last season. Under the guidance of the seasoned campaigner Musa Nkhondo, a surprising victory for the Vultures, especially in front of their home supporters, would not be unexpected.
Black Leopard, formerly known as Madritas, has been given a more favorable assignment as they prepare to face struggling Musina United in an away fixture in Musina. Bellevue Winnerspark will confront the unpredictable Maruleng Celtics at Giyani Stadium, while Tubatse United will compete against Eleven Fast Tigers at Mapodile Stadium.
