Mahumani Multi-cultural and Heritage Celebration which took place in Ngove 22B section, over the weekend was a remarkable function of its own kind,designed for the soulful niche audience within the province.

The incorporation of various modes of present day culture outside of ethnic heritage truly represented what the event stands for- establishing culture as an economic investment.

Traditional leaders and other notable dignitaries flocked to Nkomo,among those who graced the event  were the MEC for COGHSTA  Basikopo Makamu, Mopani District Executive Mayor Cllr Pule Shayi, MDM Speaker Cllr Martha Maswanganyi as well as the Provincial  ANC Secretary Vhamusanda Reuben Madadzhe amongst others.

In true African tradition, majority of those who graced the occasion were dressed in their various traditional attire.

The event was characterised by traditional dances and speeches, whose main theme was to encourage communities to observe their cultures.

Host Chief Aaron Mahumani urged communities to preserve their cultures as much as they could.

He said it was important that people practised their cultures and traditions and urged the youth to keep this spirit alive.
