Announce leader of ACTIONSA in Limpopo by Party Leader Herman Mashaba.

Sello Lediga, who used to be the Provincial Chairperson of ActionSA in Limpopo, has decided to resign from the party.

He made this choice because he became unhappy with the direction and leadership of the party, ending his two years in that role.

Lediga was a long-time member and leader of the African National Congress (ANC) before joining ActionSA. He left the ANC because he felt it wasn’t helping to solve South Africa’s problems. He joined ActionSA hoping to push for fair, honest, and patriotic governance.

In his resignation letter to ActionSA’s President, Herman Mashaba, dated October 3, 2024, Lediga shared his dissatisfaction. He wrote, “I do not see the party contributing positively towards making South Africa a better place.” He was particularly upset that the party hadn’t held an elective conference in four years over two election cycles, which he believes is very important.

Now, Lediga plans to focus on writing and media work. He just published a book titled “Dodging the Civil War Bullet,” which talks about how South Africa transitioned from apartheid to democracy without falling into a civil war.

Lediga’s departure highlights the challenges within ActionSA and the broader difficulties of staying united and focused in South Africa’s changing political scene. He encouraged the party’s leaders to adopt forward-thinking and people-focused strategies to achieve their goals.

While he wishes ActionSA success, Lediga is starting a new chapter, reminding everyone of the importance of integrity and foresight in political leadership. As Limpopo and South Africa continue to face complex social and economic issues, Lediga’s thoughts and writings are expected to inspire important discussions across the country.
