Winnerspark FC boss Robert Mokgola has officially confirmed the sale of the club’s majority shares.

The transaction, which took place this week, involves new ownership led by Dakalo Ramothaka, a lawyer, in partnership with a distinguished businessman from Phalaborwa, Aubrey Ngobeni. The financial details of the sale remain undisclosed.

Originally valued at over R800,000, the club’s status was advertised during the preseason at a reduced price of R550,000. Reports suggest that Mokgola sold the majority shares for R400,000. Currently based in Bellevue, the club is planning a relocation to Mukondeni.

Recent changes have also been made to the technical team, with former Dolphins coach Joel Mongalo taking on the role of head coach, and Isaac Senyolo joining as an assistant coach. The new owners are anticipated to enhance the team by recruiting additional players from their Hollywood Bets teams ahead of the transfer window closing on November 15.

As of now, Winnerspark FC holds 10th position in the league, having accumulated three points from four matches. This weekend, the team will host fifth-placed Nkowankowa Continental at Xikokwana Stadium.
