Phalaborwa United eyeing Historic Nedbank Cup Berth.

Coach Mashudu Malesa is poised to etch his name in Phalaborwa United FC’s history books as he leads the team into the inter-regional Nedbank Cup playoffs.
United aims to secure a spot in the Nedbank Cup last 32, building on their recent regional Nedbank Cup triumph.
Last month, Malesa’s five-month-old team defeated Ndengeza Jackson Young Stars 3-1, booking their spot in the inter-regional playoffs. This victory marked United’s first regional Nedbank Cup title under Malesa’s guidance.
Malesa attributed their success to a collaborative effort from management, players, and technical staff. “I’m happy that our boys played exceptional football, and now we’re aiming to secure a spot in the Nedbank Cup last 32. We’re not just participating in the playoffs; we’re competing to win the provincial title,” Malesa emphasized.
Representing Mopani Region, Phalaborwa United will face off against other regional teams at the Noordelikes Stadium on Sunday. The winner will then face Mpheni Home Defenders in a provincial decider to secure a coveted spot in the prestigious Nedbank Cup competition.
Malesa’s leadership and vision have propelled United toward achieving another competitive trophy. With their sights set on the inter-regional playoffs, Phalaborwa United is determined to make history.
