The Matsorang Sekgopo Foundation, in partnership with Royal Funerals, has once again demonstrated its commitment to giving back to the community. This time, the foundation generously donated grocery hampers to needy families in Ga-Sekgopo.
The donation was made possible through funds raised during the foundation’s highly successful fun walk and run event, held on Monday, 16 December. The event drew participants from across the area and was a resounding success, with all proceeds going towards supporting vulnerable families in Ga-Sekgopo.
Each grocery hamper was carefully compiled by the foundation’s team and packed with an assortment of essential food items and household necessities. The hampers were distributed to identified families in need, bringing much-needed relief and joy during the festive season.
According to Jeffrey Mohale, a member of the Matsorang Sekgopo Foundation, the donation is part of their ongoing efforts to address food insecurity and poverty in Ga-Sekgopo. “We are deeply committed to supporting our community, particularly during difficult times,” Mohale said. “We believe that everyone deserves access to basic necessities, and we’re proud to be playing a small part in making that a reality.”
The Matsorang Sekgopo Foundation’s donation has been welcomed by local residents, who have praised the organization’s selflessness and dedication to giving back. As one recipient noted, “This donation has brought us so much joy and hope. We’re grateful for the foundation’s kindness and generosity.”
The foundation’s fun walk and run event has become an annual highlight in Ga-Sekgopo, promoting healthy living, community spirit, and social responsibility. By combining physical activity with fundraising, the event provides a unique platform for individuals and organizations to make a positive impact in their community.
