Lehlabula Soccer Tournament attracted thousands of soccer lovers of different ages, Spanning six action-packed weeks.
The tournament concluded with the big Selwane derby final on Sunday at Selwane Sports Complex.
Selwane White Vultures and Selwane FC Porto battled it out for the R100 000 coveted cash prize, just like any kasi tournament, township football styles such as tsayama and shibobo were the order of the day, though at times over-the-top showboating marred the game.
Heading into the finals Vultures emerged victorious with a 2-0 triumph over Mahale Juventus , propelling them forward into the next phase of the tournament. Meanwhile, in another gripping encounter, FC Porto clinched a 5-3 victory over Blackpool FC to booking themselves into the finals.
In a riveting showdown,the firm favourites Selwane White clinched the coveted title by narrowly defeating FC Porto 1-0.
As the tournament drew to a close, the organisers expressed their gratitude to all the teams and individuals who participated in making the event a success.
Special congratulations were extended to Selwane White Vultures for their outstanding performance and seizing the grand prize in a competition filled with twists and turns.
