The President of the South African Football Association in Mopani region Vincent Ramphao has confirmed that the Mopani Hollywoodbets men’s regional league season will start next weekend.
This after the commencement of the new season experienced a delay once again this year. In other provinces such as Mphumalanga, Eastern Cape and North West the season has already started.
Mpumalanga is leading all the provinces with a maximum of six league games played so far followed by Gauteng and Kwazulu Natal with five games each. Some of the streams in the Eastern Cape has played three games, while some in North West and Free State have played two games.
Northern and Western Cape have not yet begun. Ramphao has clarified the issue of coaches working without qualifications. He declared that coaches without elementary D license will be allowed to continue coaching their clubs until SAFA hold a D license coaching course in January 2024. Thereafter no coach will be allowed to coach without qualifications.
