The ABC Motsepe League national playoffs have started in Upington, Northern Cape. Kruger United, a team from Mpumalanga, kicked off the tournament with a 1-0 victory over the Northern Cape team. This puts Kruger United at the top of their group, which also includes Dondol Stars from Gauteng Province. Later today, Mangaung Unite from Free State will play against an Eastern Cape team at 12:00, and then Limpopo-based Mpheni Defenders will take on Njampela from KwaZulu-Natal at 15:00.
