Former Black Leopards coach Abel Makhubele has been seen at the Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Marumo Gallants’ DStv Diski Challenge team.

The 50-year-old, known for his extensive qualifications, previously served as an assistant coach to Vladislav Heric at Black Leopards and to Serame Letsoaka at Golden Arrows during his PSL tenure from 2011 to 2013.

Makhubele is currently working alongside head coach Stan Nkoana to enhance the development team’s standards. He is recognized as one of the most respected coaches in the country, holding a CAF A License, a SAFA Pro License, and a German B License.

With his vast experience, which includes coaching in the PSL and participating in CAF tournaments, Makhubele has a strong track record.

In 2009, he played a vital role in the Limpopo team’s success in the national under-19 competition, discovering talents like Thabiso Kutumela and Rodney Ramagalele, both of whom went on to be selected for the provincial under-19 team.

Makhubele has been with Marumo Gallants since last month and is reportedly part of the club’s strategy to reinforce its coaching staff. This follows the appointment of the highly qualified and experienced Molefi Ntseki as Technical Director earlier last week.

With such a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the club’s structure, it would not be surprising to see the Bloemfontein-based team rising to the top position in the league across all levels.
