Baroka Village, a lodge linked to Limpopo football club Baroka FC, has warned members of the public against scammers falsely claiming to represent the establishment and accepting fake bookings.
The warning comes after the lodge became aware of individuals allegedly using the Baroka name to mislead unsuspecting customers and collect payments through unofficial channels.
Baroka FC owner Khurishi Mphahlele confirmed the information contained in the official Facebook statement and also verified the official contact number provided by management.
Mphahlele said the suspected scammers claim to be representing Baroka Village when communicating with potential guests.
“They claim to be representing Baroka,” he said. Baroka Village is based at Stand 10, Boomplaas, Lebowakgomo, at Mafori Mphahlele Stadium where Baroka FC plays its home matches.
The club, which is based in Limpopo, was recently relegated from the Motsepe Foundation Championship, formerly known as the National First Division.
Management stressed that the suspected fraudsters are not authorised to accept bookings, receive payments, or make arrangements on behalf of the lodge.
The public has been urged to make all bookings and enquiries only through the official Baroka Village contact number: 076 729 0498.
Baroka Village further assured guests that it remains committed to providing a safe, professional, and welcoming experience to all visitors while thanking the public for its continued support and cooperation.
