The murder case of Mayor of Collins Chabane Municipality, Councillor Moses Maluleka (56) has been transferred to the Limpopo High Court in Polokwane for trial.
Avhatakali Mulaudzi, Shumani Nemadodzi, Avhatakali Isaac Mudau, Wiseman Baloyi, Tshianeo Munyai and Pfunzo Lidzebe (32) have appeared in Malamulele Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday facing charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm. Pfunzo Lidzebe has made his first appearance and he was also served with indictment.
The incident took place in Xikundu Village, on 21 July 2022, where the accused allegedly shot and killed the Mayor Moses Maluleke while entering his home with his 18-year-old son.
The matter has been transferred to Limpopo Polokwane High Court for trial on 29 May until 15 June 2023. The accused persons will remain in custody.
