The South African football Association SAFA Mopani SAB regional league is left with only eight games before the season ends, nonetheless the promotional play-offs prospects in almost all the six streams have already emerged.
In the Baobab stream, previous year winners Jozy United FC are leading the log with thirty-seven points from fourteen games, six points ahead of second placed Satlaleng All Stars who have played a game more.
Jozy looks set to experience the playoffs for the second year running with less than eight games left before the league ends. Last season they lost to Tzaneen United in the playoffs.
In the Zebra Stream B, the consistent Hlothlokwe Golden Syrup are having it easy with a comfortable eleven points ahead of second placed Nkomo Eleven Experience who have a game in hand.
Golden Syrup won all their fifteen games so far this season and are expected to register maximum points in all their remaining last seven games to join Jozy United in the playoffs once again. Syrup have been consistently participating in the playoffs every season without success. Many soccer lovers believe that either Syrup or Jozy will win the playoffs this season.
Maruleng Celtics also looks set to represent Tropical Stream B this season. They are currently leading their stream by eight points with only six games left. Of the eighteen games they played so far they won fourteen and drew four with no defeat.
They also are one foot in the playoffs if their record is anything to go by. However, the rest of the other teams in the other streams such as Nkowankowa Continentals in Tropical A stream, will have to fight hard until the last game to know their fate.
Continental FC lead second placed Dynamos FC by only two points with the same number of games. Both teams are left with only seven games to play before the league ends. Almost the same scenario unfolds in the Zebra A Stream were Wonderboy FC is leading Shivulani by two points.
Unlike in the former group where the two top clubs share the same number of games played, in this group Shivulani has a game in hand. The two clubs are left with only four and five games respectively.
In the Marula Stream Super Eagles and Phalaborwa Fast Eleven FC are separated by just one point with only two games left.
