Rumours have it that Black Leopards proficient midfielder Tiklus Tuthlwa could be joining premier soccer league side Kaizer Chiefs before the end of the season. However, the 24 year old attacking midfielder who collapsed last week during their NFD league game has since denied the rumours of Amakhosi’s interest in him and unequivocally proclaimed his undivided commitment to his current team. “My priority is on assisting my current club to avoid relegation. No team has approached me or my agent yet so the rumours are unfounded,” he said
The Lephalale born player assured his fans that he was well after he collapsed during their game against Castric Stars last weekend. “I was hit by the ball on the chest before I collapsed but I am okay now,” he said
Black Leopards are currently tottering at the relegation zone with eighteen points from twenty four games. They will have to win at least five of their remaining six games to stand a chance of avoiding the chop.
Of the six games left three are Limpopo based sides Baroka FC, TTM and Venda Academy FC while two of the remaining three are away to Hungry Lions and Platinum City Rovers.
They will be expected to beat All Stars at home in Malamulele Stadium with whom they drew goalless away in the first round. Their immediate opponents Baroka who beat them 1-0 at home in Malamulele in the first round might prove to be difficult opponents in their backyard at Lebowakgomo.
The only game that seems to be in their favour is against TTM who are only a point above them in the relegation zone. Leopards beat TTM 1-0 in their home ground in the first round.
