Former Black Leopard striker, Tiklas Thutlwa

Star midfielder Tiklas Thutlwa is no longer a Black Leopard player.

This after the last season NFD golden boot winner refused to go down with the team to the ABC Motsepe league in the new season.

The 24 year-old said his contract was terminated following his meeting with the club management who had asked him to make a commitment to go down with the team.

“I refused to go down with the team to the second division, that’s why my contract was terminated” he said.

The 2021 COSAFA Cup winner with Bafana Bafana first joined Leopards three years ago when they were still in the Premier Soccer League on a five years contract.

He was one of the players who helped the Vhembe side avoid the chop last season with his brilliant scoring abilities that triggered interest from PSL clubs.

The ProAthlete agency client is currently without a club.

However, given his record with Leopards it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him back with his former team in the NFD or possibly PSL if rumours that they bought the All Stars NFD status or that they are planning to buy Swallows PSL status are true.
