The leadership of the proposed University of Bolobedu in collaboration with the Modjadji Tribal Authority invites all stakeholders to the engagement “Lekgotla”.

The first meeting will be held at Relela Community Hall on 23 March 2024 from 12h00 while the second meeting at Mokwakwaila Community Hall on 6 April 2024 at 12h00

According to the Director of Corporate Affairs of the initiative, Selby Mabai,University of Bolobedu is a community-driven initiative and vision to establish a private university in the Mopani District focused on producing skilled professionals to build and support the regional economy and promote equal access to quality higher education to South Africans.The purpose of the stakeholders engagement Lekgotla as follows: To introduce the University of Bolobedu (UNIBOL”) project to all stakeholders in the community especially traditional leaders, local government stakeholders ,education sectors, private sectors leaders, religious leaders and civil society.

*To explore opportunities for collaboration, support, funding and partnership.

* To consult and engage with all stakeholders for their inputs and suggestions.

“Due to the size of the Balobedu Kingdom and spread of our different district, it has been agreed with Modjadji Traditional Council, that the meeting be held on two dates. We look forward to sharing this great vision with you. Your full participation in this journey will be appreciated,” said Maboi.
