The determined Nkowankowa Continental team showed their mettle as they secured a hard-fought 3-3 draw against National First Division side Baroka FC in a pre-season friendly game at Baroka Village in Lebowakgomo on Tuesday.

Playing over three 40-minute halves, Continental took the lead within the first 40 minutes through Nhlanhla “Maburuku” Muswana, capitalizing on a well-executed counter-attack from a corner kick.

Adding to their tally with a penalty in the final half, they showcased resilience after a goalless second half. Although “Bakgaga ba ga Mphahlele” staged a late comeback, Continental managed to secure the draw with a late equalizer from a set piece.

Following the game, Continental Head Coach Peace Khosa exuded confidence, emphasizing the valuable lessons learned from Baroka’s adept ball control. Fresh from an exceptional season with “Lebapola,” last season, the former Tzaneen United coach is unwavering in his belief in his team’s potential to clinch the league title this season.

Moreover, he announced the arrival of three experienced players central midfielder Andy “Zizo” Mboweni from Marumo Galants, right back Khulani Mhelembe from Gauteng ABC Motsepe league side Bidvest Wits, and center back Chris Mohale from Polokwane City.
