Thlothlokwe Golden Syrup manager Thabo Moremi has issued a confident warning to ABC Motsepe League clubs, urging them to prepare for unexpected developments in their upcoming matches.
This statement comes despite his team facing challenges and not securing a victory in their last four games. The Bolobedu-based club managed only a draw against last season’s Stream B champions, Tzaneen United, in their opening game and is now poised for a turnaround. T
hey have suffered tough losses, including a 1-0 defeat to Coach Peace Khosa’s Nkowankowa Continental, a significant 5-0 setback against Munaca, and a narrow 2-1 loss to Maruleng Celtics.
Nevertheless, Moremi is determined to revitalize the squad by bringing in five experienced players, believing these additions will greatly enhance their competitiveness. Currently, the team relies on the core group that earned promotion from the Hollywoodbets League last season, along with a few new local players who are still adjusting to the demands of the ABC Motsepe League.
Moremi stated emphatically, “Teams that underestimate us, thinking they can just stroll in for three points, will soon be taken aback. We are on the brink of transformative changes that will elevate our game.”
This weekend, Thlothlokwe is set to face Owen Da Gama’s Vondwe XI Bullets away in Venda—a match expected to test their resolve. However, Moremi remains optimistic about the team’s performance. He declared “We’re introducing new tactics and evaluating new players in this game. I have full confidence that we will rise to the challenge,”.
