Soccer fans are praising Selwane White Vultures head coach Lufhuno “Zambrotta” Ndou for his impressive performance.

The Venda-born coach joined the club at the start of last season as an assistant to the charismatic Musa Nkondo. After Nkondo’s departure to Vondwe X1 Bullets, Zambrotta took over as head coach and has achieved remarkable success, winning four games and drawing three.

His victories include a 1-0 win against Musina United, a 3-1 win over Tzaneen United, a 3-0 win against Maruleng Celtics, and a 1-0 win against Thlothlokwe Golden Syrup. The draws consist of a 1-1 match away against defending champions Mpheni Defenders, a 1-1 draw at home against United Artist, and a 2-2 home draw with Winnerspark. Currently, Zambrotta’s team sits in second place in the league with 28 points from 15 games, just one point behind Vondwe X1 Bullets, who are leading with 29 points and have a game in hand.

With only seven games left before the season concludes, Zambrotta’s team is on track to make history by winning the league championship in their first season.

“After Coach Nkondo’s departure, many football fans doubted him, but he proved them wrong. Keep on pushing!” said Ramalata Renuis on his Facebook page. Pilusa Dithaba Elliot expressed, “I repeat, he is the best coach. I have never seen a more intelligent coach in the ABC Motsepe League. He is simply the best.” Elliot’s sentiment was echoed by Humbulani Netshidongololwe, who wrote, “Give him a few years; he will be in the NFD or PSL. A big, big coach who loves football more than women. He told me he hasn’t been with a woman in seven years.”

The Vultures’ upcoming seven games include a home fixture against Nkowankowa Continental, an away game against the unpredictable Munaca, a home game against Maruleng Celtics, an away match against Vondwe, and another away game against United Artist. Their final game will be at home against Thlothlokwe Golden Syrup.
