Vondwe X1 Bullets head coach Musa “America” Nkondo has confirmed his departure from the club, marking the end of a successful tenure that saw the Limpopo team become one of the most competitive sides in the ABC Motsepe League.

Nkondo took over as head coach during the 2024/25 season and announced his exit himself. Under his leadership, the team enjoyed an impressive unbeaten streak, although they narrowly missed securing the top spot due to a boardroom ruling that awarded points to rivals Mpheni Defenders.

Despite this setback, Nkondo’s tenure was characterized by tactical discipline and defensive strength. After replacing Owen Da Gama, who left for PSL side Magezi after just eight games, Nkondo led the team to 12 matches without defeat, conceding only one goal and recording three draws. His efforts kept the Bullets at the top of the log, but a controversial decision by the SAFA appeal board ultimately cost them two matches.

While the reasons for his departure have not been disclosed, Nkondo expressed his gratitude for his time with the club and indicated that he is open to new coaching opportunities.

Meanwhile, the Bullets have announced that assistant coach Ndamu “Gaddafi” Ratshivhadelo has been promoted to head coach. “After four and a half seasons as our assistant coach, Chairman Mr. Siebe has decided to appoint Ndamu ‘Gaddafi’ Ratshivhadelo as our new head coach. Please join us in welcoming him to this role,” read the club’s Facebook statement.
