The Mayor of Maruleng Local Municipality, Councillor Tsheko Musolwa, handed over five wheelchairs to the elderly and people living with disabilities.
Speaking during the handover, Mayor Musolwa emphasised the importance of supporting vulnerable members of the community — particularly persons living with disabilities.
He noted that a wheelchair is not merely a mobility aid but a vital tool for independence and access, enabling recipients to move freely and participate fully in community life.
“This initiative forms part of the municipality’s broader commitment to improve the living conditions of our residents and to ensure that no one is left behind,” said Mayor Musolwa.
The beneficiaries include two residents from The Willows Village, one from Botshabelo, and two from Metz and The Oaks respectively.
