The South African Football Association (SAFA) Limpopo has officially opened the second player registration window for the ABC Motsepe League, running from 15 January to 14 February 2026.

The announcement was made by SAFA Limpopo Provincial Executive Officer, Ms Refilwe Khosa, who urged all affiliated clubs to complete their registrations within the stipulated period. Khosa warned that no extensions will be granted, stressing the importance of adhering to the deadline.

The mid-season registration period offers teams a strategic opportunity to strengthen their squads as the ABC Motsepe League campaign enters a critical phase. Clubs are expected to use this window to bolster weak areas, enhance tactical options, and build momentum for the battles ahead.

Nkowankowa Continental, currently anchored at the bottom of the log, is expected to be one of the most active clubs during this window. Facing a challenging season, the team is likely to prioritise reinforcements in both defence and attack, targeting experienced players who can help lift their fortunes and steer clear of relegation pressure.

In contrast, Mukondeni Young Chiefs, who sit in third position, are poised to strengthen with an eye on the title. Under the guidance of Coach Mongalo, the Chiefs are firm contenders for the ABC Motsepe League championship and are determined to leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of success.

It isn’t only the sides battling at the bottom and top of the log who are expected to make moves. With competition intensifying across the province, all clubs in the ABC Motsepe League are anticipated to take full advantage of the registration window to enhance squad depth and competitiveness.

As the deadline approaches, the Limpopo football community can expect heightened transfer activity, with clubs moving swiftly to finalise signings and prepare for the second half of the season.
