Portia Masoding celebrates her victory with her mother after being crowned Fashion Designer of the Year at the 2025 Limpopo Fashion and Creative Awards.

TZANEEN – After conquering Limpopo’s fashion scene in 2025, celebrated fashion designer Portia Masoding is back on the biggest local stage—and she has her eyes firmly set on another double triumph.
Masoding, the creative force behind the Porsh Engross fashion brand, stunned the competition last year when she beat seven other finalists to be crowned Fashion Designer of the Year at the 2025 Limpopo Fashion and Creative Awards, hosted in Tzaneen by the Limpopo Fashion Federation.
Now, the award-winning designer is aiming to repeat that success after earning two nominations at this year’s Tzaneen Awards, where she is in the running for Best Fashion Designer of the Year and Best Motivational Speaker of the Year.
The Tzaneen Awards celebrate and recognise outstanding local talent across various sectors, and Masoding is once again regarded as one of the leading contenders.
Known for her bold creativity, elegant craftsmanship and distinctive fashion style, Masoding has transformed Porsh Engross into one of the province’s most admired fashion brands. Her designs continue to attract praise for their originality, attention to detail and ability to inspire confidence.
Despite facing stiff competition, Masoding remains optimistic.
“I believe I have a good chance of winning because I have incredible supporters and, most importantly, I have faith in God,” she said.
A committed Christian, Masoding says her faith has guided every step of her journey and remains the driving force behind her success.
She has thanked those who stood by her during last year’s victory and appealed for the same support once again.
“I would like to thank everyone who supported me last year, and I hope they will do the same this year. I also appreciate those who will be supporting me for the first time. Your support means a lot to me and encourages me to keep working harder and reaching greater heights,” she said.
Sending a message of confidence to her supporters, she added: “We have done it before; we can do it again.”
