Nedbank Cup preliminary round fixture, Stream A.

The road to the Nedbank Cup Last 32 begins in Limpopo this weekend, with ABC Motsepe League clubs going head-to-head in a series of preliminary-round clashes.
The action gets underway on Saturday, September 12, with several of the province’s established sides looking to book their place in the next round.
In Stream A, Selwane White Vultures face Nkowankowa Continental at Selwane Sports Complex.
Continental finished last season strongly under coach Tim Mashele, who remains in charge as they look to build on that campaign.
There is also a battle of the Uniteds at Nkowankowa Stadium, where Phalaborwa United meet Tzaneen United.
Phalaborwa will be led by coach Abel Makhubele, while Tzaneen United will be looking to build on last season’s impressive campaign after finishing second in the league.
At Makhado Showgrounds, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila make their return to the ABC Motsepe League after being handed a lifeline following relegation.
They face Badhuza Celtics in what promises to be a demanding test for the returning side.
Newcomers ABC FC, meanwhile, host Mpheni Defenders.
Mpheni will be looking to draw on their strong Nedbank Cup pedigree, having reached the Last 16 in both 2023 and 2025. They beat Clarewood JPM 3-0 in 2023 before losing 2-0 to Chippa United, while in 2025 they defeated Hungry Lions 3-1 before suffering a 2-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns.
ABC FC, who are entering the ABC Motsepe League after winning the Limpopo inter-regional play-offs, will be looking to make an immediate impression against one of the province’s most experienced cup sides.
The winners will return to action on September 19, when they will face Mukondeni Young Chiefs, Vondwe X1 Bullets, Musina United and Goue Seuns for places in the latter stages.
With progression at stake, the preliminary round promises an early test of the ambitions of Limpopo’s ABC Motsepe League clubs.
