Focus on Community Power and Basic Services
The SACP statement stressed that its campaign focus is not just about winning municipal seats. The party stated that local communities must play an active role in shaping development priorities, watching over spending, and holding elected leaders accountable beyond the election period.
Through political education, community engagement, and campaign rallies, the party aims to champion public ownership and working-class representation in local councils. The campaign will centre on securing basic human rights for residents, specifically clean water, reliable electricity, safe roads, and community safety.
The party concluded by stating that the fight for better local government remains closely connected to its broader political mission to put people before profits.
