Winnerspark FC is faced with a mammoth trip to their voodoo team Mpheni Home Defenders this afternoon in their second ABC Motsepe League game at Mpheni village in Elim.

The two teams met only twice last season in their league campaign in which Mpheni emerged winners on both occasions. They beat Winnerspark 1-0 at Mikhado show ground in their first round and went on to complete the double with a 2-1 victory away in Westfalia ground.

However, with the new coach at the helm the new look Bellevue based side might pull a surprise victory against a not so convincing Mpheni side who were knocked out of this season’s Nedbank Cup preliminary round.

Last weekend the two sides had a shaky start to the season with Mpheni winning their game against Munaca with a narrow 1-0 victory while Winnerspark scored via a penalty to salvage a point at home against Musina United. The game start at 15h00 and tickets are sold at R10 adults.

Meanwhile, the ABC Motsepe League fixture is as follows: Stream A,  Maruleni Celtics vs United Artist 13h00, Vondwe X1 Bullets vs Emmanuel 15h00, Musina United vs Happy Boys 15h00, Munaca vs Madritas 15h00,  Mpheni Defenders vs Winnerspark 15h00.

Stream B Friday 01 December, Mighty vs Mokopane PJ Stars 13h00, Tubatse United vs City Motors 15h00, Sunrise vs Continental 15h00.

Saturday 02 December, Eleven Fast Tigers vs Ditlou 15h00, Tzaneen United vs The Dolphins 15h00.
