Drugs found in the vehicle belonging to a drug dealer
An illegal immigrant was arrested for possession of drugs estimated to worth about R 10 000 in Tzaneen on Tuesday.
Forty-three year-old foreign national arrested following an intelligence driven operation is facing charges of possession of illicit drugs and contravention of Immigration Act.
According to the police spokesperson, Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba members of the Provincial Organised Crime Investigation Unit received information about a white Toyota Etios with registration numbers FPD 344 L doing deliveries of illicit drugs within Tzaneen CBD.
Police followed the information and spotted the vehicle at a parking lot and upon searching in the car they discovered nine satchets and one big plastic parcel of crystal meth and a small plastic bag containing Kat.
The value of the drugs confiscated is estimated at R 10 000. The suspect is expected to appear before Tzaneen Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 07 December 2023.
