Thlothlokwe Golden Syrup coach, Ernest Mamanyoha, has expressed his confidence over his team’s prospects of securing all three points this weekend in their match against Munaca.
The two ABC Motsepe League clubs are scheduled to compete at the Makhado Showground this Saturday.
Mamanyoha made these remarks following a narrow 1-0 defeat to the seasoned Nkowankowa Continental, last Saturday at Westfalia Sports Ground in Modjadjiskloof. The gifted tactician who promoted Syrup to the ABC Motsepe League acknowledged the difficulties faced by his side against Continental, attributing them to the team’s unfamiliarity with the opponents’ playing style.
Conversely, Continental benefited from their analysis of Thlothlokwe’s strategies from previous playoff encounters.
Despite this setback, Mamanyoha is optimistic about his team’s preparation for the upcoming clash with Munaca. He emphasized that they have thoroughly analyzed Munaca’s gameplay based on their performances in the Nedbank Cup, affording them a comprehensive understanding of the strengths and weaknesses they aim to capitalize on.
“We are aware of their playing style, but they lack insights into ours; this presents a significant advantage for us,” he stated.
He further remarked, “We will operate as a cohesive unit, especially considering it is an away match where the home crowd will undoubtedly have an influence. However, we are fully prepared for this challenge and anticipate nothing short of a commendable performance.”
At present, Munaca holds the third position in the league with four points, having secured a victory in their opening match against Vondwe X1 Bullets (1-0) and a draw (0-0) with United Artist last week.
Thlothlokwe currently occupies the tenth position with only one point; however, Mamanyoha is resolutely determined to reverse this trend this Saturday.
