Winnerspark FC has issued an apology to its supporters for the team’s disappointing start to the season.
The club took to Facebook this week to express its regret over a performance that has seen them lose four of their six games, with one win and one draw.
In the statement, the club emphasized: “We humbly apologize for the team’s previous performances and do not place blame on the players, management, or staff. Like any team, there are phases where we may lose focus due to internal and external issues, which can lead to uncertain results. We are fully aware of the low and disappointing performances our players have delivered. Please understand that we are doing everything possible to improve, game by game.”
The statement also announced the appointment of a new chairman and management team, though specific names were not disclosed. It has however been confirmed that the team has been acquired by Dakalo Ramuthaka, a lawyer from Venda, and Aubrey Ngobeni, a businessman from Phalaborwa. Additionally, the club has welcomed a range of new players who has joined the current squad.
“Our aim is to reach the top, and to achieve that, changes need to be implemented. We promise to work hard and play until the final whistle to secure maximum points. We will reach the top—not alone, but together with you,” concluded the statement.
Former Chairman Robert Mokgola confirmed the addition of seven new underage players and stated they are ready to compete this weekend. He also announced that coach Joel Mongalo will be absent this week, with Isaac “Wacko” Senyolo taking charge of the team.
