National First Division side Venda FC, may part ways with their Serbian coach, Vladislav Heric, if he fails to secure a victory against Pretoria Callies at home this weekend.
The team has struggled recently, recording three disappointing results: a 2-0 loss to Orbit College, a 1-1 draw against the University of Pretoria, and a 2-1 defeat to JDR Stars. Currently, Venda FC sits at the bottom of the league table, with only eight points from 11 games.
Heric, who took over the coaching role in early October, was given the difficult task of lifting Venda FC out of the relegation zone. Unfortunately, he has managed to win only two of the six matches he has overseen while drawing one and losing three. Rumours suggest that the pressure is on, and he will not continue as the coach if the team does not win this weekend.
Since taking charge, Heric has made several notable signings, including the experienced Judas Moseamedi, who has made a significant impact by scoring match-winning goals. However, the mounting pressure to secure victories to avoid relegation may leave the club with no choice but to dismiss him, even though his performance has been relatively better compared to that of his predecessor, Duncan Lechesa.
When Heric arrived, the team had not won a single game in their previous five matches, achieving the best result of a 0-0 draw against Durban City at home in September, where they only scored one goal in five games.
