The Limpopo Department of Sport, Arts and Culture is proud to announce the hosting of the inaugural Limpopo Arts and Culture Awards at Meropa Casino on Friday 21 November, starting at 17:30.
The prestigious award ceremony is dedicated to honour excellence within the province’s creative sector. This landmark event seeks to highlight the power of the creative industry to inspire unity, foster social cohesion and stimulate economic growth across the province.
Speaking ahead of the ceremony, MEC Funani Jerry Maseko emphasized the importance of recognizing the work of the creatives. “The creative industry is the heartbeat of our society. Through these awards, we are not only honouring excellence but reaffirming our belief in the power of arts and culture to unite our people, build social cohesion and contribute meaningfully to the economic growth of our province. Our artists tell our stories, preserve our identity, our history and inspire future generations. They deserve recognition” said MEC Maseko.
The awards underscore the Department’s commitment to strengthening the creative economy, nurturing emerging talent, and positioning Limpopo as a hub of artistic innovation.
