Winnerspark beat Munaca fc 2-0 in the ABC Motsepe League stream A match at Westfalia Sports Ground in Modjadjiskloof.

The legendary Winnerspark FC is finally back to winning ways after a shaky start to the ABC Motsepe League first round.

They beat visitors, Munaca FC from Venda with a convincing 2-0 victory in their stream A league match last Saturday at westfalia sports ground in Modjadjiskloof.

The victory elevated them from fifth to fourth position in the log standing with 13 points from 10 games.

It was new coach Ivan “Chief ” Malahlela’s second game at the helm after his first game away to Venda side, United Artist FC, ended in a 0-0 stalemate.

Winnerspark had only won two, drew four, and lost three out of nine games before coach “chief” joined them in January this year.

Their great performance against Munaca FC last Saturday brought much hope to their diehard supporters who now believe their team is back and ready to end the league in a respectable position.

“The winners” as they are affectionately known dominated their opponents in all four factors of football from the first to the last whistle. They played the game with a higher level of intensity, agility, and a great display of ball skills.

Their brilliant performance was well rewarded in the early minutes of the first half after defender Madimetsa Nhlovu headed home the opening goal from a Mahlane Rametse freekick.

Munaca tried their best to find the equalizer in the second half , but their strikers were no match for the strong winnerspark back four.  Star Striker Malepa Calvin put the final nail in the visitor’s coffin with a clinical goal setup by winger Michael Ngobeni in the second half. Coach Ivan Malahlela was over the moon after the game. “I am happy that we won the game, but we should have scored more goals. Now, we focus on the next game away to Mikhado FC in Rabali stadium. We need to collect points, “he said.
