Some of the players of the French Team that will be participating in the Grannies International soccer tournament at Nkowankowa Stadium this weekend.

The very best Vhakhegula Vhakhegula team from Tzaneen in Mopani District of Limpopo province will open the world class Grannies International Soccer Tournament this very Sunday with a match against African counterparts Malawi Grannies at Nkowankowa Stadium.
A total of two hundred grannies over the age of fifty from America, Europe and Africa will take part in the four days tournament. Vhakhegula is one of the six grannies soccer teams representing south Africa in this historic five star world class event.
The other five are Glory Gogos from Hammanskraal, Mbombela Gogos from Mpumalanga Province, Tembisa Gogos from Gauteng, Dikgoshigadi FC from Waterburg and KwaZulu-Natal Gogos.
The four days tournament consisting of twenty teams will start on the 26th and end on the 29th of this month. The tournament is designed to play in a round robbing group format in the first stage and group winners will qualify for knockout stage.
The group stage of the round robbing games will take place in Nkowankowa stadium and Laerskool sports ground in Tzaneen but the quarterfinal, semi and final will take place at Nkowankowa stadium.
According to the tournament spokesperson of MamaBeka Ntsanwisi Foundation Tsolofelo Bulala, the purpose of the tournament is to promote foreign tourism. Bulala encouraged people from all over Limpopo province to attend the event. Entrance is free. Here are the clubs and their groups:
