Soccer legend, Frank “McGregor ” Moloto and his son, Junior

A 58 years old soccer legend, Frank “McGregor ” Moloto, played a full 90minutes game on Tuesday for a youthful Kgapane based Rasta fc in the annual Tebogo Ramoshaba tournament at Kgapane local ground.

 Although his newbie team lost 7-1 to an experienced Rapitsi FC, but that was not what the fans remembered after the match. They had witnessed, for the first time in the history of local football, a fit 58 years old father playing a full game with his son who is 40 years younger.

 His 18 years old son, Junior played as a centre forward alongside his father who played more as the number ten. They gave a good display of his favourite Brazilian carpet style of football initiating their attacking moves from the back.

The experience former CCV Chiefs owner and mentor said he is building his youthful side for the year 2024. “I will win this tournament in 2024 with this same team” he emphasized with confidence.

They are expected to play their next two round-robin games against Bolobedu Chelsea on Thursday and Happy boys on Saturday.
